Overview
Dry cut gauze is supplied non-sterile for clinics, dispensaries and customers who sterilise in-house, and for further processing into kits and procedure trays. Quirmex cuts and folds cotton gauze to consistent dimensions and tissue specifications.
The line includes standard cut pads, X-ray detectable gauze woven with a radiopaque thread for surgical traceability, and hospital-type sponges in tissue type III and tissue type VII (thread-count classes). Sizes cover 10×10 cm, 10×20 cm and 7.5×5 cm.
All references are made to the Mexican Pharmacopoeia with controlled thread count and absorbency, and packed in bulk for clinical and industrial use.

What are tissue types III and VII?
They are thread-count classes defining the gauze weave density; type VII is finer/denser than type III. We state the tissue type on every technical sheet so buyers can match their specification.
What does X-ray detectable mean?
A radiopaque thread is woven into the gauze so it shows on X-ray, allowing surgical teams to detect any retained sponge — a requirement for operating-room use.
Do you offer sterile versions?
Yes — selected references are available sterile in blister packs; the rest ship non-sterile for in-house sterilisation or kit assembly.
